Before a wedding the bride has one responsibility that many wedding planners often fail to mention or aid with, leaving the bride forced with making some last minute choices: finding the appropriate bridal lingerie.
While most brides would not want any aid with such a task, they might not mind the reminder since it suddenly strikes many brides days before they are too be married that not only must they find the appropriate items to wear under their wedding gowns, but they also must choose some sexy items that will stun their groom on their first night as a married couple.
It used to be that bridal lingerie was all white and precious instead of sexy and hot, but standards have changed and today it is expected that items such as sexy bridal garters will be hidden under the white poufy dress for excited grooms to find. In fact, in many cases bridal lingerie is not even white any more but instead comes in many different styles and colours that range between chic and elaborate styles to naughty and downright alluring. While the bride will have to choose her own style and preference, there are a few do’s and don’ts to keep in mind while shopping for sexy wedding night lingerie.
One of the largest don’ts is the appearance of bridal lingerie under the wedding gown. While you want to be alluring to your groom, it is important that the guests at your wedding do not get a sneak peak due to a miss-fitting item or the wrong type of bra.
For this reason it is important to carefully choose all items carefully such as garters, bras, and underwear and try them on underneath the wedding dress prior to the big day to make sure that they will stay carefully hidden until after you are left alone with the groom.
Another don’t is to neglect the purchase of bridal lingerie simply because you feel that it will not be worn for a lengthy period of time and thus is not required. Keep in mind that a wedding night only comes once for most people, but the romantic memories last a lifetime therefore creating some visual titillation if only for a short period of time is well worth it. Plus, the look on the groom’s face should be worth the price tag of the lingerie, once it is unveiled on your special night.
Turning to the do’s, there are a few basic rules that you should follow on the wedding day such as bringing an extra pair of tights or stockings in case of ladders, and making sure to plan in advance so that you are comfortable the day of your wedding. Since you likely will be dressed in the bridal lingerie for a lengthy period of time during the actual wedding under your dress you want to wear something that is easy to move in and comfortable so that it does not distract from the joy you experience throughout the wedding celebration.
